With Black and White only days away, I thought the perfect count down to the game is to post some impulse without much thought or research builds for the three starters. Again, these are builds that I've made with only looking at the Pokemon stats and my guy feelings for them are. Everyone knows how much I hate people who solely rely on the internet to build their Pokemon move-sets and I'm sure some, excuse my language, dummkopf is refreshing Smogon every second so they could be the first to copy someone else moveset.
Sorry for the rant, but without further ado, the first starter Serperior.
Is the next set of movies going to copy the trilogy format of Diamond and Pearl? If anyone remembers correctly, a few months back, the preview for the Phantom Ruler had Ho-oh vs Lugia, and this new trailer is eerily similar to that one. So I actually don't expect a movie about Reshiram or Zekrom, but a movie probably about Victini. Or I can be completely wrong and we finally get a Ho-oh - Lugia movie.
I've been hearing an interesting rumor today via the pkmnblogger Zelgerath today, and something I expect to take place in a year or two. Much like how Diamond & Pearl hinted at Soul Silver & Heart Gold, it seems Black & White also hints at a Ruby & Sapphire remake. I would love to see this happen, I've always said that GS was the best but RS will always be my favorite.
Although I don't expect any remakes for another 3 years or so. If Nintendo's recent history has anything to teach us, I expect a Pokemon Grey within the next 24 months or so. Then maybe another year after that RS remake would be possible. Hmm...Volcano Ruby & Sea Sapphire anyone? Although I also said Golden Sun and Silver Moon and I was clearly wrong when Nintendo decided they would go after Capcom's Monster Hunter series with Hear and Soul, cough-silver rathalos soul armour and gold rathian heart armour-cough.
With Pokemon Diamond & Pearl ending on Thursday, I asked myself where I would rank the third series? The first thing that came to mind is how incomplete the last few episodes felt. However, ranking the series solely based on the last 2 month is unfair. So I'm dividing it into a couple of different categories.
Plot Really no one should actually be watching Pokemon for it's plot. That being said DP mirrored the games, everyone should expect that. However what it lack compared to Advance Generation is another region, but I blame that for the amount of time DP took and the speed of which BW was developed. I really wished they took another year of development for BW, shorten the Shinn'oh saga, and revisited Johto. OS: 4 Stars, AG: 3 Stars, DP: 3 Stars
Character Development If anything, this series had the most amount of character compared to the others. Again if we only look at the last few episodes then you would not notice all the character development, I would say the only character that didn't seem to change at all was Ash himself. The biggest change happened to Paul, where from an arrogant trainer who only saw Pokemon for it's stats to becoming someone who actually became caring about his Pokemon even though he didn't show it until the last few episodes. If I remember correctly Paul is the first character to actually get a back story to how he became the way he is, even diving into mature themes such as inferiority complex.
