So I've recently started playing Battle Revolution again, and you know in the past I had a love hate relationship with WiFi battles. In the last 3 years it seems nothing has improved with the idiotic and lazy nature of people who play pbr. The rampant netdecking, the notion of stealing movesets from the Internet, is strong as ever. I've had more than one of my movesets stolen by Smogon. More and more people are using OU and Uber parties. Now before I hear someone talk about the whole metagame in pbr, I swear I'm going to punch them. A metagame is just that, a game within a game that players agree on. Not on random wifi, where the other person didn't agree upon it. Don't get me wrong the other person is just much at fault. Random is random, you never know what you might get. But that's no way to justify "oh well everyone else uses OU and I don't have a brain to think for myself".
So this is what I propose, A Gentlemen's Agreement and a change to fan created standard rule set for PBR. Since there are 11 colosseums in PBR, and what I consider roughly 3 popular Pokemon classes, UU, OU, and Uber, you can divide those colosseums up. What I propose is 3 colosseum for players who play UU, NU, and BL parties, 3 divided amongst OU players, and 3 for Uber players (who frankly deserve none), and the last 2 for anything goes.
Looks like the exact opposite of the previous battle, I
overestimated this opponent, (s)he didn't even know the typing and
Ability of Jirachi...
I used Wigglytuff, Jirachi, Absol and Glalie. My opponent used Haunter, Garchomp, Yanmega and Torterra.
My new Double Battle team goes up against a pro-über-abuser, now
this's one of the reason's why I prefer Single Battles on random wi-fi.
I used Gengar, Wigglytuff, Absol and Glalie. My opponent used Jumpluff and Groudon.
Looks like Rhydon tears down the place again, since the opponent lost 2 pokémon and some HP on their last one to Rhydon.
I used Rhydon and Mothim. My opponent used Armaldo, Mismagius and Relicanth.
Another pokémon ready! This time I had decided to train myself a Hypno(without Hypnosis), a physical tank with mixed wall capabilities no less. He's quite good and has managed to defeat a few teams on his own, but he can't really stand other tanks, like Lapras...
I used Sneasel, Hypno and Mothim. My opponent used Gallade, Scizor and Lapras.
This was some really serious hax, in my favor :D, so I didn't
mind. This person must really be upset by his Ice moves just not being
able to hit Salamence. No wonder he turned off his Wii after the battle
:P.
I used Rhydon, Vaporeon and Salamence. My opponent used Slowking, Gyarados and Wailord.
Weird-looking pokémon teams can still have an overwhelming
strategy, so I decided not to take it easy on this Macho team, I guess
I overdid it.
I used Salamence, Sneasel and Vaporeon. My opponent used Machop, Gyarados and Machamp.
My opponent must've been completely frustrated at the end of the
battle, lol. Drapion can surely annoy very well, especially combined
with Vaporeon against a mono water team.
It was very lucky of me
that Ice Fang missed, not that I would've lost otherwise, but Ice Fang
is supposed to have 95 accuracy. What's even weirder that the second
time I faced him later that day, Ice Fang missed again! lmao. I'll
upload that battle later on.
I used Vaporeon, Drapion and Salamence. My opponent used Gyarados, Milotic and Wailord.
Everybody probably already expected it from me, but here it finally is. My latest and strongest Sashmence so far.
In this battle you can also finally see Vaporeon get some action.
I used Sneasel, Salamence and Vaporeon. My opponent used Electrode, Dewgong and Flygon.
This is the first battle in which I use my Eevee. That evening it
was swarming with OU trainers, and I had a little problem trying to
keep up with these little fellas.
I used Sneasel, Lucario and Eevee. My opponent used Blissey, Metagross and Breloom.
Tsubasa: It looks like Ash will use his entire team just to take out Darkrai. Unlike in the game, where a fake out followed by a mech punch will easily do the job. on Pocket Monsters DP - 188 & BW - 000
Melaugh: Seems I, some of the other fandom, were correct in believing in Ash. We all know he will lose against Takuto. With Takuto winning again to some character of the day, winning the conference.
As for the Joy comment it is a bit out there. Mainly because it's a pretty much withstanding fact that Iris is traveling with Ash. I believe she is just the new Nurse Joy and the other female is the new Officer Jenny.
The rival looks better in the anime. 'Nuff said. on Pocket Monsters DP - 188 & BW - 000
